Hand Tool Class

Deneb Puchalski has been working with wood for 25 years, as a boatbuilder, carpenter and furniture maker. Formal training in furniture making and design came at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. First as a student, then an assistant instructor and finally the artist in residence. Deneb has been working for the past three years as represenitive and demonstrator for Lie-Nielsen Toolworks. You will find him at The Woodworking Shows around the country.

Intensive 5 day hands on class for learning hand tool use and tune up. Enjoy learning to use and sharpen hand planes, chisels, and hand saws. Additional focus on shop aids will help you get the best results from your hand tools. Also by making a breadboard end cutting board you will apply many of the tools and techniques that we cover in this class which are applicable to other woodworking projects that you may do.

We will have a daily schedule of; a morning lecture, followed by hands on application of the topics covered that morning. Each day will end with a group discussion of the problems and solutions that students encountered during that day.
