Build a Spice Cabinet using 18th Century Tools with Adam Cherubini

TOOLS

· Firming chisels 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8"
· Small dovetail saw- western saws preferred
· Square
· Marking knife (or X-acto)
· Marking gauge
· Pencils
· Folding rule or tape measure
· Back saw filed cross cut
· Bench planes- smoother plane, jack plane
· Mallet for chisels
· Light hammer
· Notebook or paper for note-taking and a digital camera for photos
· Safety equipment – hearing protection, safety glasses, dust mask

The tools listed below are optional – if you already own them, bring them along
· Panel saw filed cross cut
· Fine rip saw
· Try plane


The following will be supplied for you:
· Scratch stock
· Molding planes (round plane)
· Old Widow’s Tooth router plane
· Grove or plough plane
· Wimple and bit
· Hide glue
· Nail set
· Wood – partially prepared
